Darey Alade, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, others mourn as OAP Bigtyme dies

Singer Darey Alade has joined media personality Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi in mourning her colleague Onome Oyaide popularly known as Bigtyme.

Bigtyme was an OAP at Rhythm FM. His death was announced by Gbemi.

She tweeted on Sunday, “Rest in Peace, Big Tyme. Sigh. Just a pleasant happy guy.”

Darey also paid tribute to the Rhythm FM OAP as a contributor to the entertainment industry.

“An absolute influence on what we now have as today’s Nigerian Hip Hop and Pop culture.

“A true gooner, music head, professional broadcaster with a solid voice and an all round good guy. Happy ascension brother Onome Oyaide aka Big Tyme. This hurts. Love and light,” Darey tweeted.

Another OAP from Wazobia FM, Tracy Chapele-Ugo, popularly known as Suo, also mourned the deceased.

Sharing his picture, she said, “One minute he was tweeting just fine, larger than life and next he’s gone. RIP @937RhythmFm’s Big Tyme @OnomeOyaide.

“Cool cat, shayo man with a big heart. Modern Entertainment Radio in Nigeria can’t easily forget the joy you bring, man….This is just crazy, rest well Onome.”

Another media personality, Osagie Alonge, mourned Bigtyme saying, “Rest in Peace Onome ‘BigTyme’ Oyaide. Big brother, good friend, always looking out for others.”
