Cool FM presenter, Daddy Freeze, on Tuesday, berated Abuja-based Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) for inviting reggae musician, Majek Fashek, to perform at its Christmas concert.
The broadcaster, who has become a thorn in the flesh of Nigerian Pentecostal pastors, took to Instagram to query the church’s decision, asking if secular musicians can perform in a mosque, Buddhist or Hindu temple.
“I am still searching for the sense in this, I am a huge Majek fan, but do I want to see him perform in a church? How did we get here? Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought Christian altars are supposed to be sacrosanct,” he wrote.
Daddy Freeze was the subject of a recent tweet by Pastor Leke Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) who thanked him for inadvertently contributing to the church’s growth with his anti-tithing crusade.
Freeze, who derives pleasure from knocking tithe-collecting churches, referred to RCCG as a family business and asked Adeboye to provide bank details to prove that there has been an increase in tithing.
Majek, on the other hand, is on a journey of recovery from a devastating alcohol addiction.
