The court had opened sitting to continue cross examination on Wednesday, it however, moved hearing till Thursday to allow both prosecution and defence counsels address the court on the admissibility of an extra judicial statement made by a party who is not standing trial.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Fayose on October 22, 2018 alongside a company, Spotless Investment Ltd.

After a not-guilty plea by Fayose, the EFCC opened case for prosecution on November 19, 2018.

A former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, the fifth witness, had testified against Fayose on January 21.
