Ciara slams $15million lawsuit on baby daddy for questioning her ability to be a mother

American singer, Ciara, is suing her baby daddy, rapper, Future, for defamation, libel and slander and is demanding $15million in damages.

According to thejasminebrand.com, Ciara filed the lawsuit against Future in Georgia Court on January 21, accusing him of making “several false and defamatory statements” in the press over the past year about her and her ability to be a mother to their son, Future Jr.

The ‘I Bet’ singer claims that the statements have damaged her career and professional opportunities that come with being a celebrity mother.

She also added that the rapper attacked her relationship with new boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.

Court documents obtained by the aforementioned site claim that Future purposefully published lies about Ciara on his Twitter account, social media and other interviews to destroy her reputation as a good mother, to diminish her brand and to impair her professional career in the entertainment industry.

It also states that the 32-year-old rapper only did that in order to create publicity for himself ahead of the release of his upcoming album and tour.

In addition to the $15million cash settlement, Ciara, 30, is also seeking $250,000 in legal costs.

Future had in January went on a Twitter rant where he wrote: “I been silent for a year and half, I just want babyfuture that’s all. This b***h got control problems … I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future … the f*** for 15k a month.”

He also blasted Ciara in July 2015 during his interview with 105.1’s Breakfast Club, “You know this dude for a few months and you’re bringing him around your kid? Who does that? Nobody does that.”

The ‘I Won’ singer continued: “She probably set him [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts.”

Ciara and Future started dating in January 2013 – just a month after the birth of his third child from a previous relationship – before getting engaged nine months later.

The singer and Future called off their engagement in August 2014, just months after welcoming Future Jnr. into the world.
