Lauretta Onochie, social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged human rights organisation, Amnesty International, to investigate its subsidiary in Nigeria.

In a tweet on Thursday, Mrs Onochie alleged that Amnesty International Nigeria have the same agenda with separatist group, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

She referred to a tweet by Amnesty International Nigeria which called for revolution, “a movement of Nigerian youths committed to fighting for freedom and just in exercise of right to freedom of expression and freedom of association.”

On the call, Onochie said: “Amnesty International @amnesty need to investigate the relationship between IPOB, a proscribed terrorist organisation and Amnesty Nigeria @AmnestyNigeria.

“Its time for them to review the activities of those who claim to represent them in Nigeria. They have similar agenda as IPOB.”

The RevolutionNow movement is being convened by former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.

The movement declared August 5 for the commencement of the revolution protest tagged ‘Days of Rage’ across the country to demand a better Nigeria.
