Buhari won’t be forgotten in a hurry – Fayose

Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose says President Muhammadu Buhari would not be forgotten in a hurry like the outgoing United States President Donald Trump.

Mr Fayose stated this in a series of tweets on Tuesday, hours before the end of Trump’s full day as president.

He said Nigerians would remember Buhari just like Americans would recall the government of Trump with distaste.

“As Americans look forward to the exit of Trump, Nigerians too cannot wait to see the exit of Buhari. The two can’t be forgotten in a jiffy. Buhari will be remembered like Trump because it is obvious that he is the low budget Trump when damages done to their countries are compared.

“Everything that matters has been destroyed under the watch of Buhari. All the values that we share as a country – economy, security, human rights, rule of law, credible elections and unity of the country have been destroyed,” he said.

Buhari and Trump met at the White House on April 30, 2018.

Trump will vacate the White House on Wednesday morning shortly before the inauguration of Democrat Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States.
