Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated former President Goodluck Jonathan who turns 61 on Tuesday, November 20.

Buhari, in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, on Monday, joined Nigerians in felicitating with the former president.

The president also congratulated his predecessor on the publishing of his memoir, My Transition Hours, which is expected to be launched on Tuesday as part of ceremonies marking his birthday.

He, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to follow the same example of sharing their experiences in writing.

The president prayed that the Almighty God would strengthen the ex-president, grant him long life and bless his family.

My Transition Hours will be formally presented to the public at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The event will attract dignitaries from across Africa, with President Buhari invited as a special guest of honour and former President Olusegun Obasanjo as chairman.
