Buhari leaves Daura for Abuja after voting

President Muhammadu Buhari has left his hometown of Daura, heading to Katsina from where he will fly back to Abuja.

Mr Buhari had voted in Daura on Saturday during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

The president was seen off at the helipad in Daura by the Emir of Daura, Farouk Umar, well-wishers and relations.

Buhari left Daura at 10 a.m. on Monday in a presidential helicopter marked NA-541.

He is expected back in Daura next week for the governorship and state assembly elections scheduled for March 9.
