Buhari in closed-door meeting with APC governors

President Muhammadu Buhari has met behind closed doors with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), umbrella body of governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting began around 11:37 am on Tuesday at the Council Chamber.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, said the opening prayer for the Christian and Muslim faithful.

Governors in attendance are those of Lagos, Ekiti, Edo, Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Borno and Nasarawa States.

Others are governors of Yobe, Osun, and Ogun States.

Deputy governors of Katsina and Kaduna States are at the meeting.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, were also at the meeting.

The meeting is expected to focus on security challenges in the country among other issues.
