BRT: Bamise’s death made me give birth through C-section — Sister

Protest over Bamise Ayanwole killed in BRT

Sister of the late fashion designer Bamise Ayanwole allegedly killed by a BRT driver in Lagos said on Tuesday that the death of her sister made her give birth through C-section.

Ebunoluwa Ayanwole, who was with her baby, spoke as the family gathered in Magodo to demand justice for Bamise.

“I had to go through a Cesarean section to give birth, I am not supposed to come out by now. If justice is not given to my sister, Lagos State will not know peace,” she said.

“I could not give birth through normal labour because of the effect my sister’s death had on me.”

Another sister of the late Bamise, Titi Ayanwole, while addressing the press, said, “We want them to arrest every accomplice connected to Bamise’s death. Our father and mother are asking, that, whether it is the king or president that has a hand in Bamise’s death, they should be brought out.”

The family noted that the government had the capacity to arrest all the accomplices involved, and wondered why they had not done it.

Earlier this month, Lagos State Government re-arraigned BRT driver, Andrew Omininikoron, at the State High Court for alleged sexual assault and murder of 22-year-old Bamise.

The suspect pleaded not guilty.
