Amnesty International quoted unnamed reports as saying the men were from the police.

“Disturbing reports of armed Nigeria Police @PoliceNG allegedly laying siege at the home of musician Timi Dakolo & his wife Busola Dakolo,” the organisation said in a now-deleted tweet.

Sahara Reporters also reported that sources at the musician’s residence said the policemen, numbering three, were trying to force him and his wife, Busola, to go to Abuja against their will.

Messages sent by Qed.ng to Force Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, and Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, had not been responded to as at the time of filing this report.

Busola Dakolo had last month alleged that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) raped her as a teenager in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Fatoyinbo was forced to step down from publicly overseeing COZA because of the allegations against him.
