Senate President Bukola Saraki has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He announced his defection in a Twitter message on Tuesday.
Although he did not state his destination, the 55-year-old is expected to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
