Several policemen have invaded the Abuja residence of the senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye.

The invasion of Mr Melaye’s residence located at 11 Sangha street, off Mississippi, Maitama, took place some minutes after Midday on Friday.

Presently, the street where his house is located has been cordoned off by security operatives with Toyota Hilux operational vehicles.

Melaye had raised alarm a few days ago over an attempt by the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to assassinate him.

It is unknown at the time of filing this report why the policemen were at his residence.

Melaye was said to have left his residence early on Friday morning before the arrival of the policemen.

The controversial lawmaker in several messages on Twitter on Friday narrated his account of what transpired.
