Naira Marley’s release is coming 14 days after Justice Nicholas Oweibo had granted him bail with a condition of two sureties in like sum on May 31.

He is facing 11 counts bordering on cybercrime for allegedly conniving with one Yad Isril (at large) to use Access card issued to other persons in a bid to obtain gain, an offence contrary to Section 27(1) (b) of the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015.

Reports have indicated that witnesses from financial institutions will testify at his next court appearance slated for October 22, 23 and 24.

Qed.ng reached out to EFCC spokesman, Tony Orimolade, but he could not immediately confirm if the singer had been released.

According to him: “Naira Marley is with the prison authorities. Our next date with him is in court.”
