The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Douye Diri, winner of the governorship election held last November in Bayelsa State.
Mr Diri was pronounced winner on Friday after top INEC officials met behind closed doors at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja to study the judgement of the Supreme Court which nullified the election of David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
