Armed soldiers have invaded the Daily Trust regional office in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Regional editor, Uthman Abubakar, and a reporter, Ibrahim Sawab, were arrested on Sunday during the raid.
It was unclear as at press time the reason for the military’s action.
It was however gathered that it might be connected with the lead story of Daily Trust on Sunday on military operations in the North East.
The soldiers have also shut the gate of the Maiduguri regional office.
A witness said that the soldiers requested to see Daily Trust’s politics editor, Hamza Idris, whose byeline appeared on the story.
