A teenager can't influence another teenager's years? Taking into consideration Kobe got into the NBA at 17 and bovi was 16!

It does not differ actually. Teenage years is from 13 to 19 years. Any age that has "…teen" ending it remains a teenage year. 12 and 20 years are not. If Bovi was 17 when Kobe started playing, then 2 years was enough for him to be an influence on Bovi. It happens!
