Celebrity makeup artist Onilogbo Hakeem, better known as Hakeem Effect, and his crew have been attacked by kidnappers.

Hakeem who created actress Bimbo Adedmoye’s ‘breast’ in Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix hit Anikulapo disclosed this in an Instagram post on Tuesday night.

Hakeem shared a video of himself and his crew in their damaged vehicle, expressing gratitude to God for escaping the kidnapers who shot at his driver.

The make-up artist said they were attacked just after Ikene town in Ogun state and although his driver was shot, the crew made it out alive but other people were kidnapped.

Speaking about the incident, Hakeem said: “I just got robbed at Ikene, kidnappers, they have kidnapped a lot of people, so thank God for my driver, ah Olorun, their bullets shattered.”

He captioned the video, he added: “I thank God almighty for my life and the lives of my crew, we were attacked by kidnapers just after ikene 20 minutes ago, they shot at us shattered the glass, kidnapped people …..but I thank God I’m alive, I thank God my driver (legba) was shot at a close range, bullet flying everywhere but God drove for us, me my wife and my staff are alive.”

Celebrities like Odunlade Adekola, Bimbo Oshin, Femi Adebayo and others stormed the comment section of the post to sympathise with Hakeem and his crew.

Mo Bimpe wrote: “Haaaaa I’m so sorry about this sir. OLUWA seun.”

“Praise God !!!!! May God continue to protect us all,” Bimbo wrote.
