Bimbo Ademoye reveals secret of beautiful skin on Anikulapo set

Actress Bimbo Ademoye has revealed the secret of her beautiful skin on the set of Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix hit Anikulapo.

The 31-year-old posted behind-the-scenes photos from the set in an Instagram post on September 27 where she spoke about maintaining beauty despite being in the village at the time.

She wrote: “All through my stay in the village filming #anikulapothemovie. I still maintained beauty. All thanks to my skincare plug @beautifulbody.ng. No sunburn. Skin was always and still is on fleek.

“My favorite part was them being able to deliver to that remote area Pls don’t forget #anikulapo is coming to Netflix and cinema on the 30th of September (Friday) can’t wait for you to see it.”

Photos of Bimbo advertising the skin care product on set were also posted on the brand’s Instagram account.

Since its release on September 30, Bimbo Ademoye has received praises for her performance as Arolake in the film.

Set in the 17th century Oyo kingdom and directed by Kunle Afolayan, Anikulapo takes us through the journey of Saro, a travelling cloth weaver, who was beaten to death for having an affair with the Alaafin’s youngest wife Queen Arolake played by Bimbo.

A bird brought him back to life, leaving behind a gourd with the power to raise the dead. Arolake who attacked the bird after it had saved Saro, picked the gourd and nursed Saro back to health.

Saro and Arolake were greeted with fortune after it was discovered that the former could raise the dead with the gourd which Arolake gave to him.

According to the filmmaker, the film village located at Igbojaye in Oyo State sits on a mass of land totaling 40 acres where Anikulapo was filmed with all the infrastructure built from scratch.

“There were over 300 men working on-site to bring it to life,” Kunle said in a statement.

The movie also stars Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan, Adebayo Salami, Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri, Faithia Williams, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Mr Macaroni, Sunday Omobolanle, Toyin Afolayan, Kareem Adepoju and Hakeem Kae-Kazim.
