Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya, has revealed that her mother’s restaurant was the first Afro/Caribbean restaurant to be featured in the Chicago Magazine in the United States of America.

The 31-year-old made this known on Sunday in a Mother’s Day message dedicated to her on Instagram.

”In March 1992…My mum and her restaurant were featured in Chicago Magazine for her prolific work as a restauranteur and chef…My mum’s restaurant, Effie Africana was the first Afro/Caribbean restaurant to be featured in the highly acclaimed magazine…Happy Mother’s Day, mum!…,” she wrote.

This is not the first time the actress has expressed her admiration for her mother on social media.

She shared a picture taken with her on Instagram on March 17 after her documentary, Skin, won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Documentary.

”Here’s the beautiful superwoman I was talking about on stage. My wonderful and exceptionally amazing mum.

Love you to infinity and beyond! Thank you for everything, your strength and resilience are so admirable,” she captioned the post.
