Basorge Tariah’s protégé, Bere, makes statement with wedding song

Years after intervening in the career of a then up and coming Timaya and several others, entertainment guru, Basorge Tariah, has discovered another exceptional talent in Chidiebere Bernard Nwankwo, better known as Bere.

Signed to Basorge’s Solid Star Records, Bere on Monday released a wedding song titled ‘Commit’.

Basorge, whose songwriting and other creative musical prowess is often overlooked because of his success in other artistic endeavours, co-wrote and produced the song.

Mixed by Tee-Y Mix, ‘Commit’ is an easy-to-sing club banger from a label dedicated to moulding committed musicians.

Speaking on phone to, Basorge said “I have no doubt about Bere’s dedication to his work. Like I have done with Timaya, Cold Stone and others, my mission is to grow the career of artistes across creative endeavours.”

Timaya has often recounted how his career took a leap after he participated in a music talent contest on which Basorge, Sound Sultan, Face and 2Shot were judges.

Basorge took an interest in him and took him to Daniel Wilson’s studio from where the former Eedris Abudulkareem protégé met K-Solo who produced his first hit, ‘Dem Mama’.
