Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Adewale Martins, has donated 4,000 bottles of sanitisers and 500 food packs to Lagos.
Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, received the donations on Wednesday.
The first lady said on Twitter that the donation was to support the state’s fight against the coronavirus.
“The Chancellor, Archdiocese of Lagos, Catholic Church, Very Rev. Msgr. Anthony Obanla on behalf of the Archbishop, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, today donated 4,000 bottles of sanitizers and 500 food packs to support our fight against #Covid19,” she wrote.
Lagos has 217 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 85 of them discharged and seven deaths.
