President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman has spoken in defence of the founder of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry in Onitsha, Anambra State, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere aka Odumeje.

Odumeje was manhandled by security forces while he was trying to stop the demolition of a building attached to his church on Thursday.

The state government said developers and building owners have been informed of impending demolition since April 2022.

Addressing the assault on Odumeje, Suleman said it was “primitive,” urging Soludo to condemn it.

“I just saw a video of Pastor Odumeje being assaulted by operatives that’s very primitive and uncalled for.

“Those operatives overstepped their boundaries and I expect Governor Soludo to condemn it. It’s condemnable highly!” he tweeted on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Odumeje’s church has debunked reports that its building was demolished.

The church countered the reports with a Facebook live session, although its fence was brought down.

The video showed that the church’s security post was demolished for blocking water flow at the Nwangele-Bida drainage.
