Usman Shugaba, aide-de-camp (ADC) to the first lady Aisha Buhari, has been promoted to the rank of assistant commissioner of police.
Mrs Buhari and the inspector general of police Usman Baba decorated Shugaba with his new rank on Wednesday.
The first lady congratulated him in a post to Instagram. She said, “Earlier this afternoon, I alongside the IGP Usman Alkali Baba had the honor of decorating my ADC, Usman Musa Shugaba with his brand new rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police. Congratulations ACP UM Shugaba.”
Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, also congratulated Shugaba in an Instagram message.
“New Rank: Congratulations ACP Usman Shugaba @shuggy_h Allah ya kara girma,” Ahmad said.
