Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has thanked Nigerians for their prayers and support for her husband who returned to the country on Saturday after 103 days of medical treatment in Britain.
Mrs Buhari made the statement in an Instagram post on Monday.
“As we welcome our dear President back home, I am grateful to Nigerians and well-wishers all over the world for their continuous prayers and support.
“May God continue to guide, protect and bless us all and our dear country Nigeria,” the 46-year-old wrote.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in a televised speech on Monday morning thanked Nigerians for their prayers.
“I am very grateful to God and to all Nigerians for their prayers. I am pleased to be back on home soil among my brothers and sisters,” the 74-year-old, who left Nigeria on May 7, said.
