AFCON qualifier: 10 Super Eagles begin camping for South Africa

The camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has started bubbling following the arrival of invited players for the clash against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and the friendly match between the Cranes of Uganda next Tuesday.

As at Tuesday morning, no fewer than 10 players were already at the team’s hotel in Asaba, with Ikechukwu Ezenwa leading the home-based players, while Turkey-based striker Henry Onyekuru led the overseas counterparts present.

It is also believed that UK-based duo of Leon Balogun and Alex Iwobi alongside Udinese’s William Troost-Ekong will arrive later, in time for their first training session after they all boarded a flight from Heathrow down to Nigeria late Monday night.

Also, on-form defender, Kenneth Omeruo is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday evening after the Leganes player posted a picture of himself, Brian Idowu and new boy Samuel Chukwueze at the airport in Spain.

The trio of John Ogu, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho are also being expected on Tuesday.

The Super Eagle would hold their first training session later on Tuesday evening.
