Musician, Adekunle Gold, has knocked the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for it’s inaction on the rape allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

The 32-year-old singer made his stance known in a tweet on Sunday.

“Throw CAN away,” he wrote.

CAN had previously said that it cannot interfere in the affairs of a church before saying that there would be an investigation into the rape allegations.

Busola Dakolo, wife of the singer and songwriter, Timi Dakolo, had on Friday accused Fatoyinbo of raping her about 20 years ago.

The allegation caused a storm over the weekend with many calling for the pastor’s arrest and others showing their support for the preacher.

Fatoyinbo said he had never raped anyone not even as an unbeliever.
