General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife Foluke on Sunday joined Bishop David Oyedepo to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel.

The church was founded in May 1981 following an 18-hour vision Oyedepo said he received from God.

Adeboye said in a post across social media platforms that he was thankful to God for Oyedepo, his wife Faith and the church.

“It was a great time celebrating 40 years of excellence and God’s grace at @ft_canaanland,” he wrote.

“We’re thankful to God for the lives of @davidoyedepomin @officialfaithoyedepo and the LFC family. It is my prayer that God will continue to lift them from Glory to Glory in JESUS name (AMEN).”

Oyedepo also shared photos on social media from the “anniversary prophetic feast service”.

In September 17, 1983, Adeboye ordained Oyedepo and his wife as pastors and officially commissioned the new church. Five years later, Oyedepo was ordained bishop.

The church was first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries.

Meanwhile, Adeboye clocked 40 years as general overseer of the RCCG in January.

He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1977; and in 1981 became general overseer, the same year Oyedepo’s church was founded.
