Suspected members of the dreaded Badoo cult, terrorising Ikorodu in Lagos have struck again, killing at least three people, Punch has reported.
The cultists, the newspaper reported on Tuesday, attacked Crystal Church of Christ (C&S) Aladura at no 4, Victoria Anibaba Street, Owode Weighbridge, along Ikorodu Road.
Those attacked were wife of the founder of the church, her two-year old daughter and another woman who lived in the church with her daughter.
Lagos police spokesman, Olarinde Ola-Famous, said in a statement on Tuesday that a series of operations will be carried out to flush out criminal elements in Ikorodu.
The police therefore directed residents to carry along with them a means of identification “in order not to be restricted or face apprehension as adequate security arrangements have been put in place for the safety of every Nigerian throughout the state by the police and other security agencies.”
