QED has it on the highest authority within government circle that the appointment of Tolu Ogunlesi as Special Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari has been approved.

1. Born on March 3, 1982, Tolu is from Sagamu, Ogun State.

2. He spent the first nine years of his life in Abeokuta, the capital of his home state.

3. Played ‘monkey post football’ as a child but is now proudly indifferent about the game.

4. He is a 2004 Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

5. Traded the lab coat for the pen, and bagged a Masters (MA) in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, UK in 2011.

6. Currently employed as West Africa Editor at The Africa Report, he at different times in the past worked with Accenture, Visafone, NEXT Newspaper and British Council.
