Jennifer Awele, the wife of late actor Junior Pope, has penned an emotional message in remembrance of what would have been their 11th wedding anniversary.
Taking to her Instagram page on Saturday, Jennifer shared throwback photos of herself and her late husband, reflecting on the memories they shared and the pain of his absence.
She began the heartfelt post by writing:

My Guyest Guy…Manest Man 👊👊👊 The One That Gives Me ALL The Gists He’s Given And More😀😀”
Marking the date they would have celebrated their anniversary, she continued:
“It’s 26th July 2025…Our Supposed 11th Wedding Anniversary….We Nor Do Photoshoot This Year Oooo…Wetin Happen Nau??? So It’s True??? Haaaa!!!”
Jennifer, who lost her husband in April, also expressed the disbelief and pain she still feels since his death.
“Omooooo When It Sometimes Gets Soooo Overwhelming,,,I Will Tell Whoever Is With Me At That Point ; Jp Will Come Back Ooooo Cz Who Did He Leave This Work For???? 😀😀🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️ I Never Realized How Soothing Hugs Were Till I Got Some Genuine Ones After April 10th 2024.”
She added:

Junior Pope, whose name was Pope Odonwodo, tragically died on April 10, 2024, after drowning in the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie shoot. He was 39.
His death shocked the entertainment industry and led to widespread mourning among colleagues and fans. He was buried in his hometown Ukehe, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State on May 17, 2024.
The couple got married in July 2014 and had three sons together. Jennifer has remained active on social media, using the platform to honour her late husband’s memory and share moments of grief and reflection.
Since his death, Jennifer has also received support from fans and Nollywood stars who continue to pay tribute to the beloved actor.
