More than 2,000 young women from across Lagos gathered at the Women Kreatives Connect Summit 2025, an initiative of Terra Academy for the Arts (TAFTA), held on April 24 at Regal Hall, Daystar, Ikeja.
With the theme “Building as a Creative in Nigeria,” the summit offered a full day of inspiration, skill-building and networking, tailored specifically for female creatives navigating Nigeria’s evolving creative industry.
TAFTA brand ambassador and reality star Bamike “BamBam” Adenibuyan joined actor Emeka “Emeneks” Nwagbaraocha for a lively panel session where they shared personal experiences about turning creative passion into profit.
Both speakers encouraged the attendees to embrace the challenges of the industry while building sustainable careers.
Participants engaged in breakout workshops focused on scriptwriting, art business and entrepreneurship.
The event also featured live creative challenges, spotlight performances and networking sessions.
Top-performing female content creators were rewarded with free premium content creation kits, aligning with TAFTA’s mission to provide tools and support for women in the creative sector.
TAFTA, founded by Bolanle Austen-Peters in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, currently offers free training and certification in fields such as animation, scriptwriting, sound design, stage lighting and art business.
The program targets creatives aged 18 to 35 across Lagos, Ogun and Kano states.
Registration is open via TAFTA’s Learning Management System at bit.ly/taftaform.
TAFTA has impacted over 30,000 individuals and continues to position young Nigerians—especially women—for success in the creative economy.
