Yinka Theisen has shed more light on her short-lived relationship with actor Linc Edochie.
In a post shared online on Wednesday, Yinka said her split from the elder brother of Yul Edochie was not due to a lack of love but a matter of compatibility.
“I intend to make a video soon & explain a few things about Lincoln Edochie & I. I hope that after this everyone will keep their mouths shut. Linc is not Yinka and Yinka is not Linc. We have very different ways of looking and doing things. Our issue is not a lack of love. We both love each other. It is about compatibility and understanding,” she wrote.
She added that she could not stay in a relationship where she would be silenced or forced off social media.
“The kind of man who will love me is not the kind who wants a mouse for a wife. Certainly not the kind of man who wants me to get off social media. I respect Linc & any man I am with. I have refrained from saying a lot because of the respect I have for him. While I respect my man I am not stupid and not a push over. Enough of the madness,” she wrote.
Yinka also addressed those linking her to the Edochie family crisis. “If you support Mrs Mary Yul Edochie, do so. I proudly support Yul and Judy! I have my reasons and don’t owe anyone an explanation for this. Linc & I have forgiven each other. We may not make it as a couple but that too is okay.”
Yinka and Linc announced their engagement in May but by June she confirmed that the relationship was over.
The mother of one has since been vocal about her reasons, including online controversies tied to Yul and May Edochie’s marriage crisis.
