Actress Lilian Afegbai has explained why she keeps her relationships away from friends and public discussion.
Speaking in an interview, Lilian said, “I don’t discuss my relationships with friends,” noting that her decision is rooted in trust issues shaped by past experiences.
The actress said she has learned to be more guarded about her personal life, adding that not everyone should be privy to intimate details of a relationship. According to her, experience has taught her to protect what matters to her rather than make it a topic of conversation.
The former Big Brother Africa housemate, who represented Nigeria on the 2014 edition of the reality TV show, has since built a career in Nollywood as an actress and producer. She has featured in films including Road to Yesterday, The Women, Hotel Labamba and To Kill a Monkey.
In 2018, she produced Bound, which won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for Indigenous Movie of the Year. Over the years, she has spoken about challenges she faced in the industry and how they shaped her outlook on life and relationships.
