Why I am so angry with Kollington Ayinla – K1 de Ultimate

Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, has expressed disappointment over fellow singer Kollington Ayinla’s absence at his mother’s burial.

K1 bared his emotions during an interview on Agbaletu TV, revealing he felt betrayed by Kollington, whom he once stood by during a similar moment of grief.

“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum,” K1 said.

“When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back.”

The 68-years-old further expressed shock that someone he regarded highly could fail to show up despite being in good health and residing in Nigeria.

“He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?” he said.

K1 emphasised that the pain stemmed not just from the absence, but the lack of any condolence message from Kollington.

K1 De Ultimate, lost his mother, Alhaja Halimot Anifowoshe, in January.

She died at the age of 105 and was buried the same day in accordance with Islamic rites at his Ijebu-Ode residence.

The 8th-day Fidau prayers for Alhaja Halimot were held on Friday, January 24, at K1’s Ojushagbola Palace in Ijebu-Ode, attended by dignitaries, family and fans.
