Singer and reality TV star Whitemoney has issued a public apology to celebrity barman Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, following a controversial TikTok live session involving Helen Atti, a woman allegedly linked to Chief Priest’s Kenyan baby mama.
In a video shared on Tuesday, Whitemoney explained that he had unknowingly taken part in a TikTok challenge featuring Hellen. According to him, he accepted the live challenge without recognising who she was at first.
“Once the game kicked off, she started going off and saying all sorts of things. I didn’t want to just cut the session short, so I decided to go along with it,” he said.
“I even told my team, ‘Let’s win this game for Pascal,’ and thankfully, we did.”
To lighten the mood, Whitemoney added that he played a cheerful track by Somadina at the end of the live session. He clarified that his intent was never to mock or disrespect Chief Priest but rather to show solidarity.
“CP is like an older brother to me. I would never intentionally do anything to upset him. He played a major role in my growth, and I don’t take that for granted,” Whitemoney stated. “I’m sincerely sorry, big bro. I know what you did for me during my campaign — I’m forever thankful.”
He also confirmed that the video in question has been removed from his page and urged fans and the public to consider the full context before jumping to conclusions.
