What I know about Osinachi Nwachukwu’s death — Paul Enenche

Senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre Paul Enenche has opened up on what he knows about the death of a member of his church Osinachi Nwachukwu.

Osinachi, a gospel singer, is alleged to have died following years of domestic abuse from her husband.

In a video posted to social media on Wednesday, Enenche said he was aware of Osinachi’s plight only after her death.

“Over two and a half to three months ago, she came to see me with her husband with complains of chest pain and respiratory distress, I prayed for her and when the symptoms did not abate I counselled that they go to the hospital to help us to know exactly what we’re dealing with,” he said.

Enenche mentioned the names of medical personnel he called to ensure that proper investigation on her health is carried out. He said he was mentioning names in case anyone wanted to verify.

The preacher said he was in Cameroon when he learnt about Osinachi’s death.

“If there was domestic violence that led to or coincided with those symptoms that she came with two and a half to three months ago there is no way I would have known and if there was perennial domestic violence there is no way I would have known,” he said.

Enenche noted that he asked Osinachi’s twin sister Amarachi why the church wasn’t informed, she said it was because Osinachi always begged not to. According to Enenche, Osinachi’s first son said their father told them not to tell the pastor about the things that happen in the house.

Enenche stated that the church has zero degree tolerance for domestic abuse and wife battery, adding that he was setting the records straight because of misinformation and blames heaped on the church.

He also prayed for strength and help for the family of the deceased.
