Singer Omawumi has confirmed that she was once in a romantic relationship with late music producer Dokta Frabz.
The 43-year-old made the revelation in an interview with Jay On Air, where she also spoke about her friendship with late rapper Dagrin.
“Dagrin was my guy, we used to hang out together. He was a fantastic person,” she said, clarifying that they were not romantically involved.
Speaking on her relationship with Dokta Frabz, the ‘If You Ask Me’ singer said, “I was drawn to Dokta Frabz because he was such a lover of music. He was incredibly talented. He would look into my eyes while singing and I would be cheering.
“And because of that, I was always around him, in his studio. I met most of the music industry figures through Dokta Frabz. We actually dated.”
Dagrin died in a car accident in April 2010, while Dokta Frabz died in 2021.
