Videos of the detained social media influencer Chizorom Ofoegbu alias Ijele threatening to kill Evangelist Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach have gone viral on the internet.

Ijele is in police custody for accusing Obi of being a fraud.

The influencer is also being held for alleged criminal intimidation, threat to life, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying.

In one of the videos shared on X on Tuesday, one netizen with the handle @SizweBansii trolled former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore and lawyer Deji Adeyanju for alleging that Ijele was being persecuted by the police in collusion with Obi.

Ijele threatened to kill the cleric in the viral video, speaking in Pidgin and Igbo.

“There is no amount of begging that will save that Ekperima (crook) Ebuka Obi or Aku Zion,” he said.

“If I no kpai (kill) you comot your ishi (head) and your family will not do anything make trailer kill me for road. I am saying it openly Ebuka Obi legal team, copy this one. If I no kpai (kill) you comot your ishi (head) nothing will happen. Na cry una go cry…”

Meanwhile, the police have obtained a court order from the Chief Magistrate Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja to remand Ijele in prison for two weeks in preparation to move his case to a High Court in Abuja.

The police said that it had filed charges against Ijele at the Federal High Court in Abuja and was waiting for the case to be assigned to a particular court and for him to be arraigned, adding that releasing Ijele would jeopardise the prosecution.
