Screen diva, Toke Makinwa and popular comedian, Bovi, have been unveiled as hosts for The Headies 2014.
Themed “Feel the Passion”, the 9th season of The Headies will hold on the 25th of October, 2014 and will feature some of the biggest performances and side attractions ever witnessed in Nigeria.
Toke Makinwa and Bovi will join past hosts, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, eLDee, Rita Dominic, MI, Omawumi, Banky W, Kemi Adetiba and D’banj among other A-list celebrities who have graced the Headies stage as hosts.
CEO of Smooth Promotions, organisers of the award, Mr Ayo Animashaun said: “Our decision on this year’s hosts for The Headies is undeniably a well-deserved selection as Bovi and Toke Makinwa have both made a huge impact in the industry with their outstanding skills and talent. The Headies, formally known as the HipHopWorld Awards, has over the years recognised and celebrated notable achievements of buzzing artistes and entertainers in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
