Victorious Army founder Joseph Agboli didn’t die from Covid-19 — Church

Victorious Army Ministries International has denied rumour that its founder Apostle Joseph Agboli died from Covid-19 complications.

In a statement, the church also said Agboli did not die outside the country as rumoured, promising that the church would give its founder a befitting burial.

Agboli, who died on August 25 after a brief illness, is expected to be buried in his church premises at Ogba, Lagos. His wife Pastor Blessings Agboli had denied foul in his death.

The church said its founder’s funeral would commence on September 28 with service of song and praise night.

“We know the church is a mega church and has members across the world, and do we have given opportunities for those that will travel down to Nigeria to honour him, especially the immediate family of our father who are not within the country,” the church said.

On the issue of who becomes the head of the church, elders of the church maintained that there will not be any power tussle on who heads the church.
