Nigerian rapper, Ycee, has explained that Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani, wants cheap promotion.
The 26-year-old said this through his manager, Aquarius, in reaction to Victoria’s cover of the Fvck You challenge during a chat with punchng.com.
Victoria Kimani in her cover of the viral Fvck You single had accused Ycee of using her lyrics without any credits or payment.
Ycee’s camp talked about the accusation, they said: “We heard the song Victoria Kimani sang claiming that we stole it from her but I think she was just chasing shadows.”
They also added that they did not understand why Victoria took the matter public when she was friends with Ycee and had his phone number.
They concluded by saying that Ycee would be releasing an album soon and the singer was focused on completing the project.
Ycee disclosed his exit from Tinny Entertainment in January with an announcement that he has floated an independent label called Ain’t Nobody Badder Than (ANBT).
