Veteran Nollywood actor, Alfred Rotimi, dies

Veteran Nollywood actor, Alfred Rotimi, popularly known as Ilu Venture, died on the Wednesday, February 27.

News of his death was announced in a statement by the Abeokuta chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria, (TAMPAN).

“It saddens me to announce the untimely death of our beloved colleague Hon. Alfred Rotimi Popoola aka Ilu Venture after a brief sickness yesterday 27th February 2019.

“There will be a short memorial service at St Jude Cathedral, Church, Iberekodo, Abeokuta by 12:00noon on February 28th. In order to give him last respect we planned to join the family at Lantoro Mortuary by 10am tomorrow from where we will move to the church.  May his soul rest in peace! Ilu oooo digba ooo se,” the statement read.

TAMPAN was instrumental in the admission of ailing Nollywood actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), on Friday.

His admission was jointly facilitated with the assistance of the Federal Ministry of Health.
