QEDNG reported in May that the film opened in cinemas nationwide with N78.2 million, making it one of the strongest opening performances for a Nollywood romance film this year.

According to box office figures released over the weekend, Call of My Life finished May as the number one film in cinemas after earning N88.42 million in its third weekend, bringing its cumulative gross to N395 million.

Released on May 15, the film outperformed several competing titles, including Ajosepo: The Gathering and the Hollywood release Michael during the period.

Directed by Dammy Twitch in his feature film debut and produced by Blessing Uzzi under Bluhouse Studios, Call of My Life follows Soluchi, played by Uzo Amaka, a woman trying to move on after a painful breakup with Kalu, played by Zubby Michael. Her life takes a new direction when a work related phone call connects her with Eli, played by Andrew Yaw Bunting.

The screenplay was written by Uzo Amaka, who also stars in the lead role. The cast includes Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Beverly Osu, Broda Shaggi and Justin UG.

Shot in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu, the romantic comedy premiered in cinemas on May 15 and has remained at the top of the Nigerian box office since its release. The film had earlier crossed N222 million after its second weekend, becoming the highest grossing romance film of 2026 before extending its record-breaking run in subsequent weeks.
