A court in the United Kingdom on Thursday granted the Federal Government’s request to stay execution of the $9.6billion judgement permitting Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID) to seize $9.6billion in Nigerian assets.

The court, however, ruled that the order for stay of execution was conditional.

It ruled that Nigeria must pay a sum of $200 million into the court’s account within 60 days for the stay of execution to be effective.
