Beloved broadcaster, Tosyn Bucknor, died as a result of complications from sickle cell anaemia, her elder sister has confirmed.

CEO of Zapphaire Events, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, made the confirmation in a message posted to Instagram on Tuesday.

“My heart is heavy…but in all things, we give thanks to God.”

“My darling sister and besto Tosyn passed away last night due to complications from sickle cell,” the 42-year-old wrote.

Tosyn, an on-air-personality with Inspiration FM, was found dead by husband, Aurelien Boyer, when he arrived home from work on Monday night.

Tributes have come in from shocked friends, colleagues and fans from across the world who felt a connection to the 37-year-old law of the University of Lagos.
