Tony Elumelu visits President of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi

Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), Tony Elumelu, has paid a courtesy visit to President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix Tshisekedi.

A tweet by the foundation on Friday said Tshisekedi contributed profoundly at the recently concluded TEFforum2019.

“Our Founder, @TonyOElumelu paid a courtesy visit to the president of #DRC @Presidence_RDC, H.E Félix Tshisekedi to show his appreciation following the President’s profound contributions at the recently concluded #TEFforum2019,” it said.

The forum, the fifth edition, held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on July 26 to 27 with the theme “Empowering African Entrepreneurs”.

The forum featured panel debates, Presidential Dialogue among others. It also engaged an audience of 5,000 comprising startup entrepreneurs, development institutions and policymakers.

According to the TEF website, about 216,025 applications from entrepreneurs were received in 2019.
