Ex-husband sues Tonto Dikeh over use of son in reality TV show

Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has filed a suit before a Lagos probate court seeking to stop the duo’s son, Andre, appearing on a reality TV.

Also named as respondents in an originating summon filed on January 1, 2018 are Linda Ikeji Media and Linda Ikeji.

Andre is named as first applicant in the suit.

Tonto, 32, had announced late last year that she was starring in a TV series named King Tonto in which she will open up about her troubled marriage and single parenthood among others.

The show, produced by Linda Ikeji Media, will also show the actress undergoing a plastic surgery.

According to Churchill, the production is designed to exploit his son for financial gain. He is also of the opinion that featuring the one-year-old in the reality show is only going to expose his life at a time when he cannot make a decision for himself.

“Such reality show exposes the life and times of the 1st Applicant, who is a minor, at a time when he cannot make a decision for himself, this exposure is prejudicial to his growth and welfare of his son, the 1st Applicant” reads the court document.
