Tobi Amusan-inspired Team Nigeria wins 4x100m women’s relay at 2022 CWG

Nigeria has won the gold medal in the 4x100m women’s relay final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Fresh from claiming gold in the 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan led Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma and Grace Nwokocha in the relay race on Sunday.

The women completed the race in 42.10 seconds, setting an African record in the process.

Defending champions England settled for silver while Jamaica finished with bronze.

The men’s team won silver in the final of the 4x100m relay, finishing behind England.
