Singer Tiwa Savage has finally shut down rumour that her friendship with media personality Toke Makinwa has fallen apart.

The duo were inseparable between 2014 and 2020 as they would often tease each other online and constantly flaunt their friendship on social media.

There was hardly an event Tiwa Savage attended that Toke Makinwa did not show up to and vice versa. When Tiwa Savage had a show on the same day as singer Chike, Toke snubbed his show and attended her friend’s concert.

Everything seemed to be going well between the two friends until speculation that they had drifted started circulating as they were hardly seen in public together and in each other’s company. Many also pointed out that women have stopped commenting on each other’s posts on social media.

But on Wednesday night, Tiwa and Toke put the rumoured beef to rest as they attended a low-key birthday dinner organised by their friend Dapo who treated them to different kinds of delicacies and drinks.

The duo shared videos of themselves on their Instagram stories, having fun at the event, including a video of them joining South Africa’s Tshwala Bam dance challenge inspired by singers TitoM and Yuppe.

After the dinner, Tiwa and Toke stormed a club in Lagos where the party continued. Tiwa who was all smiles could be seen dancing with Toke who admitted that they had a memorable outing together.

“At this point, I knew it was a good night,” Toke Makinwa captioned one of the videos she posted.

The pop diva and the TV host also expressed gratitude to Dapo for bringing them together.
